WUSME at COP29: Side Event and Exhibit confirmed

Side Event and Exhibit proposed by WUSME at COP29, in association with Partner Organizations, have been officially confirmed.

The Side Event will take place on 20 November in collaboration with the German Emissions Trading Association (BVEK) and the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) to address “SMEs & Industry: Net Zero transition, imperatives for Global South, new capacities and methodologies”. The panel will bring together speakers and experts from the Partner Organizations and their international networks to discuss and highlight SMEs resilient and innovative strategies in their value chains supported by technology, AI and ESG, pathway to reduce impacts of climate change in the Global South with a focus on transportation, energy, agrifood & industry, and new initiatives and methodologies aimed at boosting climate action.

The Exhibit will take place in conjunction with the Side Event from 18 to 21 November in collaboration with the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) to showcase success stories by SMEs & Industry across sectors and regions, successfully engaged in climate action with the support of new technologies, AI and ESG, delving also into the role of Life Cycle Assessment, guidelines & tools to access finance and technology, eco-product certifications and green buildings. The Exhibit will also be a space and moment for WUSME to welcome international Delegates, share insights and discuss opportunities for collaborations.
