
WUSME’s Written Statement for the 62nd Session of the United Nations Commission for Social Development (CSocD62)
The Written Statement submitted by WUSME for the 62nd Session of the United Nations Commission for Social Development (CSocD62) has been officially approved and published on the Official Document System of the United Nations, at the following link.
The CSocD62, to take place from 5 to 14 February 2024 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, will focus on “Fostering social development and social justice through social policies to accelerate progress on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and to achieve the overarching goal of poverty eradication“. The CSocD62 will also focus on the emerging issue of “The Influence of Digital Transformation on Inclusive Growth and Development: A Path to Achieving Social Justice.” The Commission will also commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of the International Year of the Family.
The document, drafted by the Permanent Commission for the Development of SMEs of WUSME, under the guidance of the President Barbara Terenzi, Board of Directors and WUSME HQ, reaffirms the commitment of WUSME to work, with all the Development Partners, to meet the aspirations of the communities across the globe and looks forward to the results of the deliberations of this 62nd United Nations Commission for Social Development.
