WUSME at COP31: join us on 17 and 19 November

This November, WUSME will be at COP31 in Antalya with two side events that bring the voice of small and medium enterprises into the climate conversation.

1. From Commitments to Action: Agrifood MSMEs, Bio-Economies and Carbon Markets for Resilience

Blue Zone, Side Event Room 3 – ZERZEVAN

This side event, led by WUSME together with BVEK, Indalo Inclusive and the Landscape Alliance (CIFOR & ICRAF), explores how agrifood MSMEs, smallholders, women, youth and local communities can take part in carbon markets and benefit from them fairly.

The programme opens with scene-setting contributions from governments and institutions, and we are honoured to welcome Undersecretary of Climate Change Jessica Gallegos (Ministry of Environment and Energy of Ecuador) and Ivano Assenza (Technical Lead, Carbon Markets and Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, Office of Climate Change, Biodiversity and Environment – FAO) among our speakers.

Barbara Terenzi, President of WUSME, will open the session. The event will be followed by a roundtable chaired by Robert Tippmann (German Emissions Trading Association – BVEK), with Peter Minang (ICRAF), Farai Mauchaza (Indalo Inclusive South Africa) and Vinod Kumar Wuthoo (WUSME).

2. Building a Green and Low-Carbon Supply Chain

A side event themed “Building a Green and Low-Carbon Supply Chain”, co-hosted by the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES) and WUSME, will be held at the China Pavilion.
