
Forum of the Dialogue: religious, social and cultural diversitie
REPUBLIC OF SAN MARINO – 7th March, 2017 – A two-day dialogue to reflect on diversity. The second edition of “The Forum of the Dialogue” took place in the Republic of San Marino on March 3rd and 4th on the main theme “Dialogue between the religious, social and cultural diversities”. An event organized with the contribution of many Associations, the support of five Secretaries of State of the Republic of San Marino and the Council of Europe. WUSME present as Partner Organization, with the awareness and belief that diversity is to be seen as an enrichment within the enterprise. Integration and inclusion on a human scale, social and cultural barriers, pluralism as a reality and not a choice, in addition to the role of education for an ongoing dialogue in the multi-ethnic society, these were the main topics addressed by Nicola Renzi, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of San Marino in his opening speech. The Secretary also pointed out the role of the Republic of San Marino as hospitable and sustainable land in the economic context.

On the other hand, Renato Di Nubila, Professor of the University of Padova (Italy) and Scientific Director of the Forum, emphasized the culture of thoughtfulness and highlighted how, thanks to diversity, we “opens us to new worlds”. He spoke of gender diversity in the world of work, a condition necessary to bring out talents and skills. The importance of starting a process of international-level integration was instead highlighted by Guerrino Zanotti, Secretary of State for Internal Affairs of the Republic of San Marino, who stressed the principles of dialogue, solidarity, prosperity, social peace, fairness of the civil life and equal opportunities. In this regard, the Republic of San Marino is an active nation through “new investments in social, labour, culture and sports, also for economic recovery and development”. Next appointment with “The Forum of the Dialogue” is in a year with a theme already approved upon the conclusion of this year proceedings: the dialogue between different generations.
