NEW YORK, March 15th, 2017 – “Women’s economic empowerment in the changing world of work”. This is the main theme of the 61st session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, being held these days in New York City until Friday, March 24th 2017. Present as WUSME delegates Margit Batthyány-Schmidt, WUSME Member of the Board, and Mónika Alíz Mészárosm, Keynote Speaker at the 2016 WUSME Workshop on SME Financing. During the CSW61 (http: //www.unwomen.org/en/csw/csw61-2017), a side event is taking place today, on March 15 th 2017, a workshop entitled “Support Start-Ups and Fundraising for Innovative SME-s Led by Women” organized by the Union of Hungarian Women Association, chaired by Mrs. Margit Batthy Batthyány-Schmidt, with WUSME as Partner Organization.
“In the changing world of work, women face difficulties to start their own business and especially in fundraising activities due to the lack of time and information – says Margit Batthyány-Schmidt. Thus, women associations from all around the world should cooperate rather than compete in order to help for these women and in their internationalization. The Union of Hungarian Women Association is working with the COPA-COGECA and WUSME in order to face this challenge and destroy the barriers”.
