Street Named After Gian Franco Terenzi: Ceremony Held on Saturday, February 21
On Saturday, 21 February, the official ceremony was held to name a street after Gian Franco Terenzi, a prominent figure in the business and institutional life of the Republic of San Marino and long-standing President of WUSME. The inauguration of the street took place in the presence of several San Marino institutional representatives, including various Secretaries of State and the Captain of the Castle of Serravalle, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Rome, the National Union of Artisans of the Republic of San Marino (UNAS), Confartigianato Imprese di Rimini, and friends.
The initiative stems from a process that began with a petition presented in 2023 by the citizens and subsequently accepted with a favorable opinion by the Castle Council and approved by the Great and General Council and the State Congress.
The ceremony was an important moment of recognition for the contribution that Gian Franco Terenzi made over the years to the development of entrepreneurship, international cooperation, and the strengthening of relations between the Republic of San Marino and China. A symbolic and concrete journey that he traveled every day.
The dedication concerns a section of Strada Borrana, in Serravalle, and is part of an initiative promoted by the San Marino-China Friendship Association. After the inaugural ceremony, a visit to the Association’s Museum of Chinese Art and Culture was also held.
With this dedication, the WUSME headquarters is now officially located at Strada Gian Franco Terenzi, 16, in Serravalle.
