
UN MSME DAY 2022
June 27th, 2022 – On the occasion of the MSME DAY (JUNE 27), WUSME attended in events organized by the United Nations.
In particular, Mr. Daniel Musiitwa Ssubi, WUSME Board Member, spoke at the 5th Annual Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises event, at the United Nations headquarters in New York and virtually on June 27, in the session on “Innovations in the MSMEs to support the SDGs ”

Daniel Musiitwa Ssubi:
“The pandemic has taught us that crisis and containment measures do not impact everyone in the same way. Hence resilient recovery is the focus of this year’s events. You all know that MSMEs account for 90% of all business on this globe. Due to the significant contribution to the economy, MSMEs are essential for innovations, job creation and productivity. It is a back borne of societies everywhere contributing to local and national economy and to sustaining livelihood especially among the working poor, women, youth and in vulnerable situations”.
