WUSME celebrates MSME DAY 2025

WUSME joins the United Nations and Partner Organizations in celebrating the International Day of Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) (27 June) which this year focuses on the theme “Enhancing the role of MSMEs as Drivers of Sustainable Growth and Innovation”.
Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) are vital drivers of innovation, employment and local development, providing essential income and jobs to women, youth and vulnerable communities, however, they face persistent and emerging challenges such as limited access to finance, rising costs, market uncertainty and high vulnerability to external shocks.
MSME Day 2025 comes at a crucial time and in an increasingly unstable and volatile global context, characterized by geopolitical tensions, digital transformation and growing environmental pressures.
For these enterprises to continue to thrive in challenging times and reach their full potential, a collective and joint commitment is needed to promote the conditions necessary for their greater resilience and sustainable development. In this sense, access to finance, capacity building and support for innovation and digital transformation are key factors.
