WUSME’S WRITTEN STATEMENT for the UN-ECOSOC HIGH LEVEL SEGMENT 2023

As NGO in Special Consultative Status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), WUSME is entitled to submit Written Statements to the ECOSOC HIGH LEVEL SEGMENT held from 17 to 20 July 2023 and will be guided by the theme of the 2023 High-level Political Forum (HLPF) on “Accelerating the recovery from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at all levels.” The Written Statement of WUSME has already been taken noted by the UN DESA NGO Branch and is expected to be published closer to the dates of event. In the statement, it is highlighted that “As we continue to navigate the aftermath of the pandemic, it is critical that we accelerate our efforts towards the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” and is noted that “the current global scenario demands a collaborative effort to accelerate the recovery of MSMEs and achieve the sustainable development goals of the Agenda 2030, sharing their best practices regarding the MSMEs ecosystem to develop an inclusive and enabling environment.”
