Commemoration of the Historic President Gian Franco Terenzi

A meeting of the Board of Directors was held on May 19 in the Republic of San Marino in the presence of President Barbara Terenzi, Board Members Giorgio Battistini, Michel Fossaert, Vinod Kumar, Daniel M. Ssubi, Bernadette Ouedraogo, Rodrigo Varela and WUSME Senator Liliane Massala with Dr. Lam joining virtually.
The occasion was also opportunity to participate in the commemorative event held on May 20, in honor of Gian Franco Terenzi, Founder and first President of the Association, on the fifth anniversary of his demise.
The initiative was organized by the San Marino – China Friendship Association, which Gian Franco Terenzi has been promoter and first President of, as protagonist of the important relations with China.
In the morning, an audience with the Their Excellences the Captains Regent (Heads of State) of the Republic of San Marino was held.
During the evening, commemorative videos and speeches accompanied by the San Marino Concert Band with Chinese artists were broadcast. WUSME Senator Ivano Spallanzani was also present and took the floor as well as other messages of esteem and consideration were expressed for the prominent figure of the late President, recalling his dynamism, dedication and foresight.
